Five Star Trading, a prominent name in Malaysia’s film distribution landscape, is proud to announce its foray into film production with its debut feature, Mirugasirisham: The Orion. This milestone project is produced in collaboration with DSG Creations and EVORA Entertainment. Well-known for bringing numerous acclaimed films to Malaysian audiences, Five Star Trading now takes a bold step into the creative side of filmmaking. Mirugasirisham: The Orion is a locally produced film that promises a thrilling mix of humour, drama, emotion, action and above all, spine-chilling horror.
The grand premiere of Mirugasirisham: The Orion took place on 17th June 2025 at LFS PJ State. The film is hitting cinemas today. Directed by Vijay Ganesh, who also plays the lead role — the film features Joshua Shashi Kumar, Jegan Shanmugam, Nirmala Tharmarajan, Kumari, Komalaa Naaidu, and more. The film’s music is composed by Shane Xtreme.
The grand premiere attracted a host of well-known personalities from the Malaysian entertainment scene, as well as members of the media. Guests were warmly received with refreshments and had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive meet-and-greet with the film’s cast and crew. This was followed by a media Q&A session. The screening commenced at 9:15 PM, where attendees were captivated by the film’s compelling narrative, strong performances, and impressive cinematic execution.

Mirugasirisham follows the gripping story of a young married couple and the husband’s younger brother, who begin to experience a series of paranormal disturbances ranging from unsettling to dangerously life-threatening. Desperate for answers, they turn to an exorcist for help, setting off a suspenseful journey filled with unexpected twists, emotional revelations, and supernatural encounters.
The trailer for Mirugasirisham has sparked significant interest, amassing over 100,000 views and building strong excitement ahead of the film’s release. As a locally produced Malaysian film, Mirugasirisham will feature Malay subtitles to cater to the nation’s diverse and multiracial audience.
Mirugasirisham: The Orion is the result of a dedicated team of young creatives and marks the directorial debut of Vijay Ganesh. The script was first penned in 2017, and after years of searching for the right opportunity to bring their vision to life, the project finally gained momentum when Five Star Trading stepped in to support it in 2024. Since then, the production has progressed smoothly and is now set for a nationwide release. With Five Star Trading making its bold entry into film production, this project not only showcases the strength of local storytelling but also opens the door for more original Malaysian films to reach the big screen.
