As Malaysia prepares to honour its National Day and Malaysia Day, Astro has announced the launch of its ‘Inilah KITA, Sehati Bersama Campaign, a month-long celebration of unity, diversity, and shared cultural pride running from 15th August to 16th September 2025.
With a packed lineup of content and activities, the campaign centres on the KITA Channel (CH 100), special events, radio collaboration, and an inspiring theme song by award-winning singer-songwriter Hael Husaini. It promises to bring Malaysians closer through storytelling, music, art, and community engagement.

KITA Channel: Showcasing Malaysia’s Best
From 15th August to 17th September, KITA Channel will feature more than 50 specially curated programmes, including patriotic films, heartfelt drama, reality shows, and documentaries. Highlights include new Merdeka-themed telemovies such as Kita Bukan Data, Mariam Meenachi, Rombengan, Wasiat Ayah, and Daddy Naik Sheikh, featuring some of Malaysia’s most beloved talents including Nabila Huda, Faizal Hussein, Que Haidar, Yasmin Hani, MK K-Clique, Andy Teh, Lim Mei Fen, Mandy Choong, Irfan Zaini, Malarvili Shanmugam, Myra
Afrina, Eugene Song Yi, and more.
Music lovers can also look forward to exclusive concerts such as Slam X Exist: Our Journey and Konsert Hael Husaini and The Repertoire, celebrating Malaysia’s homegrown music scene.
Unity Stories of ‘Inilah KITA’
A key part of the campaign is a trio of short documentaries highlighting real-life unity in Malaysian communities:
- Famili Ikat Tepi: A century-old kopitiam that has long been a meeting place for all races.
- Tempat Letak Harmoni: In Lutong, Sarawak, a mosque and church share a parking lot in mutual respect.
- Seni Berkawan: A cross-cultural art collaboration between three artists – Izzati Suza, Riynn Lee, and Karthine Maniam.
These stories premiered on Astro Malaysia’s YouTube channel on 7th August at 9PM.
Bringing Malaysians Together in Person
The Hello Inilah KITA event on 23rd-24th August will feature a mix of music, culture, and storytelling with stars like Mira Filzah, Hun Haqeem, Ayda Jebat, Uriah, Nicole Lai, Rubini, and Sara Baskin. On 31st August, KITA FM will go live from Putrajaya, uniting radio hosts from Astro’s Era, Sinar, MY FM, HITZ, RAAGA with RTM Counterparts from KL FM, TraXX FM, Ai FM and Minnal FM.
Following this, the KITA FM Hop On Hop Off bus tour will travel across 13 states, ending in Penang on 16th September, aiming for a Malaysian Book of Records achievement.
Music and Movement
Hael Husaini’s Bangkit Malaysia, the official campaign theme song, will soon be available for streaming. Additionally, the KITA Run on 25th October at Serenia City Central Park, Nilai, will feature 5KM and 10KM runs, carnival booths, and a concert, making it a family-friendly day out.
With its blend of on-screen entertainment, on-ground activities and heartfelt stories, ‘Inilah KITA, Sehati Bersama’ invites Malaysians to reflect on the bonds that hold the nation together.
