Astro is bringing back one of Malaysia’s most beloved local Tamil series, and this time, it’s making history. Pasanga, the hit comedy-drama that has captured audiences since it’s debut, returns with Season 3 on 8th December at 9PM on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202), Astro GO, On Demand and sooka.
In a landmark move, Astro is producing 228 episodes, officially making Pasanga Malaysia’s longest-running local Tamil series. The ambitious expansion underscores Astro’s continued commitment to championing local content and growing the Tamil entertainment landscape in Malaysia.

A Powerhouse creative team and stellar ensemble cast
Season 3 is helmed by award-winning director Shalini Balasundaram, and produced by the celebrated duo Denes Kumar and Ts. Dr Vimala Perumal. The star-studded cast includes, Denes Kumar, Moon Nila, Thasha Krishnakumar, Alvin Martin, Sasikumar, Nithyashree, Susila Devi, Devakanni, Kabil Ganesan, Keshap Suria and more. Together, the team promises a season rich with emotion, humour, and unexpected twists.
A Story of Ambition, Betrayal, Love, and Second Chances
Season 3 deepens the interconnected lives of Raja, Jaga, and Anand. Among the central arcs:
- Sarasu still haunted by her lost wealth, secretly plots for financial success while defying Raja’s authority.
- Raja faces a shaky marriage with Ranjani as suspicions involving Priya begin to unravel his life leading him to leave his job and venture into business with Anand and Jaga.
- Ranjani, struggling with infertility, seeks solace in conversations with her late mother while feeling increasingly isolated.
- Priya, entangled in financial struggles, rethinks her feelings for Vikram despite their impending divorce.
- Jaga, whose dream of becoming a filmmaker shatters when Akash steals his script, spirals into desperation.
