An adaption of Astro’s acclaimed Malay drama Layang-Layang Perkahwinan, Manam marks Astro’s second consecutive Malay to Tamil adaptation, reaffirming it’s effort to bring culturally resonant stories to diverse audiences. At the heart of the series is Sheena, a devoted wife who stands firmly by her husband Varun as he rises to a powerful leadership position within his company. Balancing her responsibilities as a wife, mother, daughter-in-law, and working professional, Sheena holds her family together with quiet strength and resilience.
However, her seemingly stable world begins to unravel when Varun’s behaviour changes. Late nights, constant excuses, and emotional distance awaken Sheena’s instincts, leading her to a painful discovery that shatters her trust. Confronted with her husband’s infidelity and facing pressure from her influential in-laws, Sheena is forced to make a life-altering choices, whether to remain silent or fight for her dignity and freedom. As the story unfolds, Manam questions whether justice will prevail and whether Sheena can finally break free from a cycle of betrayal.
