On the occasion of Thaipusam, V. Papparaidu, member of the Selangor State Executive Council for Human Resources and Poverty Eradication and the Banting state assembly representative visited the Arulmigu Sri Subramaniar Temple in Telok Datok, Banting to join the local Hindu community in prayer and celebration.
Thousands of devotees and their families gathered at the temple compound, creating a lively atmosphere filled with religious devotion, discipline, and camaraderie as they participated in the festival’s rituals and activities.

During the event, Papparaidu took the opportunity to present financial assistance on behalf of the Selangor State Government through LIMAS Selangor, the state committee for non‑Islamic places of worship to 13 temple associations in the Kuala Langat district. The funds are intended to help the temples in managing their operations more effectively and to better support community activities.

In his remarks, Papparaidu noted that the vibrant celebration and the participation of people from different backgrounds clearly reflect the spirit of unity, mutual respect, and harmony among the diverse communities of Selangor.
Local community leaders and members of the public also attended the Thaipusam festivities, contributing to the joyful and inclusive atmosphere at the temple grounds.
