Dato Seri Sundarajoo Somu joined Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow recently at a Appreciation Lunch and Hamper Presentation Ceremony in Sri Muniswarar Temple Jalan Baru, Perai. There were 300 underprivileged families who received the essential aid, showing a continue commitment for supporting those in need.

The programme was held with a milestone for the temple following the recent successful completion of its major construction and the grand sacred Maha Kumbhabhishegam.

Dato Seri Sundarajoo highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bringing people together while uplifting the ones in need. He also acknowledged the efforts of Tan Sri Ramesh, trustee of the Sri Muniswarar Temple for organising both the prayers and charitable programme.

Sri Muniswarar Temple has played an active role in serving the local community going beyond its religious events to carry out meaningful efforts. The hamper distribution carried out together with Chief Minister, reflects the temple’s ongoing dedication to social responsibility and compassion.

As the Assemblyman for Perai, Dato Seri Sundarajoo shared that he has been working with the temple committee and remains committed to supporting more initiatives like this in the future. During the event, he also expressed his appreciation to donors and well-wishers who helped to make the Maha Kumbhabhishegam and programmes like this a success.
