The Ministry of Transport Malaysia expanded the BAS.MY concession card programme by including Form Six students and trainees at government-owned training institutes nationwide.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the unlimited travel facility was previously limited to Malaysian school students from 7-17 years old, senior citizens aged 60 and above and registered person with disabilities.
According to him, the expansion is expected to benefit around 2350 Form Six students and more than 3,200 trainees in Kuching and Kota Samarahan.

This will help and is hoped to reduce financial burden and increase the use of public transport in both form six and government trainees group.
He also ensured the public that BAS.MY fares will remain unchanged even with the current global economic uncertainties. He noted that the monthly unlimited travel pass has been reduced from RM50 to RM30.
Loke also ensured the government does not have a intend to make profit with this service, and just wants more people to use public transport because it is an important and affordable alternative.
Loke said the new route is aimed at improving bus coverage while providing public more comfortable, efficient and reliable transport service.
