Yes, you read that right!
Astro customers can enjoy Allunggal Vellunggal, a brand-new, fun, supermarket sweep game show which premiered on 21 December, 9pm with a new episode every Saturday.
The game show will be hosted by Malaysian celebrity Kumares along with co-host, Radhika. A total of 13 episodes will be out, featuring three couples each episode. These couples will range from Malaysian artistesto Astro customers.
The winning couple from each episode will take home vouchers and cash worth up to RM3100. Each couple will need to complete a series of interesting and challenging tasks in a time frame, such as a grocery-themed quiz, rearrangement of grocery items, puzzles and more.
Those who are not successful will be required to carry out comical penalties such as splashing of ice water, throwing eggs and others. Fans can also catch digital episodes of Allunggal Vellunggal available exclusively on Astro Ulagam during New Year (1 Jan), ‘Back-to-school’ (2 Jan), Ponggal (15 Jan) and Valentine’s Day (14 Feb).
These digital episodes will feature 4 pairs of participants each episode, consisting of Vaanavil talents and children from selected orphanages in each team, competing for prizes.
All Malaysians are also invited to watch these digital episodes live on 28 December, from 11am to 2pm, at Mydin Mall, USJ Subang Jaya. Customers can stream Allunggal Vellunggal anywhere with the Astro GO app, or catch upon missed episodes anytime via on demand. Stream the digital episodes via Astro Ulagam.
