Last week, a Varnam report made it known that satellite television provider Astro will be ceasing the broadcast of three out of five Tamil channels it currently offers.

From 11.59pm on the 31st of May 2020, Jaya TV, Raj TV and Kalaignar TV will no longer be broadcast on their service.

Yesterday, a representative from Astro reached out to the Varnam team to announce that there will be no penalty if Chakravarthy Pack customers unsubscribe from 1 June 2020 to 31 August 2020.

there will be no penalty if Chakravarthy Pack customers unsubscribe, from the 1st of June 2020 to the 31st of August 2020.

The Astro representative also added that the service provider will continue to offer customers more high definition (HD) channels for a better viewing experience for their customers.

In line with this, customers using the older version of the Astro box (Legacy box) which cannot access HD channels are encouraged to upgrade their box at no additional charge and no contract.

Astro customers may do this on CH 200 or by calling 03 9543 3838.
