Tamizh Padam 2.0 is the sequel to its highly successful prequel of the same name.
The sequel is starring Shiva, of course, in the leading role, while Aishwarya Menon will be playing the female lead. The film also stars Disha Pandey, Sathish, Santhana Bharathi, Manobala, R.Sundarrajan, Nizhalgal Ravi and Chethan.
Calling it Tamizh Padam 2.0, it seems the producers of the film have decided to take a jab at Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0, which is directed by Shankar. Aside from the name, the producers also mimic 2.0 with a cheeky press statement, saying that the release of Tamizh Padam 2.0 is delayed due to the heavy use of CGI.

In the press statement, Y NOT studios claim that ‘huge amounts of CGI work’ was used to show the lead actors in good light. It seems that the hero’s biceps and shoulder work was outsourced to a studio in Los Angeles, while the heroine’s wrinkle removal and under eye was done by a studio in Amsterdam.
