National long jumper Kirthana Ramasamy has targeted a medal for the SEA Games 2021 in Hanoi, Vietnam which is scheduled from November 21st till December 2nd.
Kirthana is all set to participate in the upcoming competition which will be held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. This year Esports will be a medal event at the SEA Games for the second time, with ten esports events divided across eight titles.
Hailing from Perak, the 24-year-old athlete who is pursuing mass communication at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), cliched two gold medals at Malaysia’s Long Jump competition which was held yesterday (15th April 2021).
Not to forget her memorable achievement, she has surpassed Doris Chong’s meet record of 6.06m set in 1994.
She has also clinched a gold medal with 13.18m at the Malaysia Open Championship 2012 and her score for the following competition was 19 centimetres higher than her previous best of 5.96m from the same match in 2015.
