Astro has unveiled a brand new heart-warming local Tamil family drama series bearing the title Uppuroti Chidambaram which will premiere on 4th July at 9.30pm and subsequent episodes will air every Monday to Thursday at the same time, on Astro Vaanavil HD (Ch 201), Astro GO and Demand.
Directed by renowned local filmmaker, Shalini Balasundaram, this 35-episode series stars a talented local cast including Nathiya Jayabalan, Kabil Ganesan, Thasha Krishnakumar, K. Gunasegaran, Komalaa Naaidu and Kavitha.
Uppuroti Chidambaram revolves around a 65-year-old man, Chidambaram, who runs a provision shop to meet the needs of his family. Audiences will be drawn into the quirks and idiosyncrasies of the family as they navigate through happiness, frustrations and general everyday life, while still attempting to uphold passion and love amongst each other.
