Earlier today the press conference of the “Sounds of the South” Concert Live in Kuala Lumpur took place at Le Méridien, Kuala Lumpur.
This press conference was organised by Reacch Productions Sdn Bhd, and saw the presence of the star of the show Santhosh Narayanan along with his wife Meenakshi Iyer accompanied by the Directors of Reacch Productions, Yugeswaran Balakrishnan & Suresh Subramaniam.
The Kabali-famed composer, Santhosh Narayanan will be making his way to the nation’s capital next month for his first-ever concert.
The “Sounds of the South” Concert Live in Kuala Lumpur is happening on 18th of March at 6pm at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
Live music bands to incredible sets of songs and brilliant singers lineup are ready to make your jaws drop at this concert.
The gig is getting GRANDEUR!
Touted to be Santhosh’s first international concert, this show will be featuring some of the most popular songs from his discography, along with never-before-heard extended tracks.
To add more colour to the concert, Santhosh will be performing together with Dheekshitha Venkadeshan known professionally as Dhee, an Australian singer of Sri Lankan Tamil descent who is also his daughter. She was famously known for her ‘Enjoy Enjaami’ song featuring Arivu.
Fun Fact: Enjoy Enjaami has garnered over 433 million views worldwide since the music video was released on YouTube on March 2021 and still counting.
Besides Santhosh Narayanan and Dhee, the other line-up of performers will be performing are Dhruv Vikram, Haricharan, Super Singer Priyanka, Vijay Narain, Anathu, Shan Vincent de Paul, and Gana Muthu.

Born and raised in Tamil Nadu, India, Santhosh expressed “I’m thrilled to be performing live in concert for the first time outside India, and I can’t wait to share my latest work with my fans,”
Adding on he quoted “I believe music has the power to bring people together and to create a sense of community, and I hope this concert will do just that,” adding that he has put together a fantastic list for the
concert.
“Come and experience this,” said Santhosh during the press conference, noting that this upcoming concert can be deemed as the best show with a spectacular view.
During the press conference, we also had special surprise appearances from two incredible performers, Dhee and Dhruv Vikram through a video call. Dhee as we all know, is an amazing singer and during the video call she revealed that she will be covering about 6 songs for this concert. The surprise element was however the young heart throbber of many girls, Dhruv Vikram who revealed that he will be singing about 3 songs at this concert. Santhosh said that Dhruv is a really good singer and this will be the first stage for him to exhibit his hidden talent.
The 39-year-old composer, Santhosh pledged that he will deliver a great show for all the concertgoers.
Santhosh Narayanan, fondly known as SaNa by his fans and for winning many awards in the Indian film industry, is known for his musical background and his enthusiasm for engaging folk traditional musical
instruments in his song composition which gives a different feel of sound to the listeners. He is the composer for the movie Kabali, a movie fully filmed in Malaysia acted by Rajnikanth and the song Nerupada and the theme song of the movie still an all-time favourite to the listeners.
The highly anticipated “Sounds of the South” concert in Kuala Lumpur is expected to be witnessed by an estimated audience of 13,000 people.
This will be the first 360 degree staged concert to be ever helmed at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
Remarkable Stage Setup
The stage design as a centre stage with a 360o view comes together with 3 musician pits to give a better view for all the audience seating around the stadium. The sound design, lighting programmes and screen work are well planned to give an international show standard and is waiting to impress the concert attendees to bring back a memorable experience.
The organiser emphasized “In this concert, we are collaborating with Deepak Gattani from Rapport Global Events from Mumbai India, which has done 2,000 shows worldwide. We are going to certain things out of the norm and we are trying to create a unique brand for Santhosh show, from all aspects,”
“Fans and concertgoers will experience different set of performers added with some stars who will be performing as well on stage,” said the organiser, noting that this concert will be a perfect platform to showcase local talents.

It was a surprise to Santhosh. Taken aback by the beautiful rendition, after the video ended, Santhosh rose up and walked towards the group of youngsters appreciating them for their amazing musical video presentation.
