Dhoni To Make His Acting Debut In Thalapathy 68?

After wrapping up shoots of “Leo”, the much anticipated film, it is confirmed that actor Vijay is joining hands with Venkat Prabhu for “Thalapathy 68”. As “Leo” scheduled to be released in 19th October 2023, fans are looking forward for the upcoming updates of the movie. It is expected that shooting of “Thalapathy 68” will begin somewhere in October – November.

Venkat Prabhu is a well known director in Tamil cinema. Venkat Prabhu gained recognition and popularity for his unique storytelling style and his ability to blend different genres seamlessly. He made his directorial debut with the Tamil film “Chennai 600028” in 2007, which revolved around street cricket and friendship. The film was a hit and earned him praise for his fresh approach to filmmaking.

Some of his notable films are “Goa” (2010), “Mankatha” (2011) and Maanaadu (2021). Venkat Prabhu’s films are often characterized by their energetic storytelling, lively ensemble casts, and catchy music. He has a knack for bringing out the camaraderie and dynamics among friends, which is a recurring theme in his movies. Notably, this is the first time Venkat Prabhu joining hands with actor Vijay.

Adding on to that, Yuvan Shankar Raja will be the music director for “Thalapathy 68”. As Yuvan and Venkat Prabhu are cousins, Yuvan has composed many of Venkat Prabhu’s movies. Yuvan Shankar Raja is a highly acclaimed Indian music composer and film score composer primarily known for his work in the Tamil and other South Indian film industries.

Yuvan is known for his ability to compose music across a wide range of genres, from classical and folk to contemporary and experimental. He has also incorporated Western influences into his compositions, making him a popular choice among both traditional and modern audiences. His collaborations have often resulted in successful and memorable soundtracks that complement the themes and moods of the films. “Adiyaathi”, his recent song collaboration with Anirudh is trending on social medias.

Apart from this, there is another buzz. It is reported that, M. S. Dhoni will be part of “Thalapathy 68” as well. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, commonly known as M.S. Dhoni or simply Dhoni, is a Indian cricketer and one of the most iconic and successful captains in the history of Indian cricket. He is the current captain of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the greatest limited-overs captains and wicketkeeper-batsmen in the history of the sport. Besides that, notably in recent times he has begin his new venture in film production. He produced his first film titled “LGM” which stars Harish Kalyan, Ivana and Nadhiya.

Hence, the possibilities are high for M.S. Dhoni to make his debut in acting as well. Moreover, it was said that “Thalapathy 68” will be based on cricket. That makes the chances high for the magical moment to be real. Gangai Amaran who is father of Venkat Prabhu had also revealed that there are astonishing updates brewing in “Thalapathy 68”.
