Chef Dave Receives The Prestigious Asia’s Best Vegan Chef With Creative Influence Award 2023

Chef Dave, a highly esteemed Malaysian Indian culinary expert, has been honored with the prestigious Asia’s Best Vegan Chef with Creative Influence Award for the year 2023 at Chennai. This recognition is part of the esteemed Asia Awards, widely regarded as Asia’s premier business accolades. The Asia Awards, recognized as Asia’s No.1 Business Award, serve as a distinguished acknowledgment of outstanding commitment to excellence across diverse facets of business.

These awards serve to highlight and celebrate the remarkable dedication and excellence demonstrated by individuals or organizations within their respective fields. Chef Dave’s achievement as Asia’s Best Vegan Chef with Creative Influence underscores his exceptional contributions to the culinary world, particularly in the realm of vegan cuisine. The Asia Awards stand as a testament to the commitment and innovation that Chef Dave has brought to his craft, showcasing the best of the best in various fields and industries.

Chef Dave, born in Sibu, Sarawak is a well known vegan chef in Malaysia. With a decade of professional experience, Chef Dave has honed his culinary expertise through notable stints with industry giants such as Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Disney Cruise Line. Unfortunately, his maritime career faced an unforeseen halt with the advent of the Covid pandemic. Undeterred by the sudden job loss, Chef Dave swiftly transitioned his culinary prowess into the digital realm.

In response to the challenging circumstances, Chef Dave embarked on a new venture, leveraging platforms like YouTube and Facebook to create engaging content under the name “ChefDave VeganJourney.” This online culinary endeavor is a collection of tutorials featuring local heritage recipes adapted into delectable vegan versions. Through these videos, Chef Dave not only showcases his innovative take on traditional dishes but also shares his passion for vegan cooking, reaching a broader audience in the virtual space.

Situated in Malaysia, the platform represents a social company committed to championing the Vegan lifestyle and Animal Rights. In 2020, Chef Dave expanded his impact by establishing D’Vegan Academy. This initiative aims to empower home-based cooks, equipping them with essential cooking techniques and proficiency in plant-based cuisine.

Simultaneously, Chef Dave founded PB Health, a social enterprise with a dedicated mission to enhance the well-being of Malaysians through whole-food plant-based nutrition. Beyond his local influence, Chef Dave has assumed the role of a Malaysian Celebrity Chef within the Masters of Malaysian Cuisine coalition. In this capacity, he actively promotes the Veganized version of traditional Malaysian cuisine to global audiences.

Winning the Asia’s Best Vegan Chef with Creative Influence Award 2023 marks a moment of immense pride for Chef Dave. This prestigious accolade signifies not only his culinary excellence but also the significant impact of his creative influence in the realm of vegan cuisine.

As a Malaysian, I received this award in Tamil Nadu – where my ancestors came from is a beautiful symphony! I dedicate this award for the all our ancestor who are brave, willing to work hard to improve their livelihood and because of their dream to success in life, today I am who I am!

Successful is a heavy word for me, whenever people describe me as successful person…im humbled and remind myself always work hard and stay in line with good principle and values by living a purpose driven life. Thanks my ancestor, parents, family, loved one, friends, Malaysians, followers around the globe supporting our work and the reason who am I today.
