Actor Rahman has come a long way from his dance role in Sangamam, and has found a comfortable niche for himself – crime thrillers. His next film, 7, is another police thriller, and according to the recently released trailer, might just be a Benjamin Button story.
For the uninitiated, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button is a 2008 film about a man who ages in reverse.
The trailer of 7 betrays a murder intertwined with a love story, and there is no shortage of kissing scenes. Interesting how we haven’t heard a peep from the Tamil culture guardians about this ‘issue’. Oh wait, maybe it’s because almost EVERY trailer has a kissing scene these days.
Nevertheless, 7 looks promising. It may be the ensemble cast comprising of Rahman, Regina Cassandra, Nandita Swetha, Aditi Arya, Anisha Ambrose, Pujitha Ponnada and Tridha Choudhury, and Havish. Or it may be the gripping story line, featuring a missing person, or even the atypical villain at first glance. Or maybe it’s just Rahman’s bloody good looks.
