The Vile Acts Of Telegram Groups Like ‘V2K’ Have Re-emerged

This conversation must keep going in order to be concluded!

Remember how social media was flooded with rage and hatred for the telegram group known as ‘V2K’? Well, guess what?  Three days ago, World of Buzz exposed yet another group similar to the ones which went viral 8 months ago.

When asked, the men in the group back then justified their actions by saying they rape no one. Their actions therefore could not be harmful.

There has been so much awareness about this but the re-emergence of these groups is just deeply disturbing. Why can’t men in this group realise this is wrong? Are they not really harmful?

Vitamin4Testicles, a V2K group with over 4,000 followers on Telegram, has reappeared with a more threatening approach this time.

World of Buzz reported, when a woman decided to join the new group and fight back against the admin and the other members of the group, the enraged admin began threatening the woman – saying that if she did not apologise to him (the admin), they would rape her sister.

One of the group’s members was reportedly a hacker, and when she managed to infiltrate the group, he was able to obtain her personal information. The victim was then pressured into taking private photos and videos of herself, which was then shared with the group.

Are we still going to hold out hope that these guys won’t cause any harm? And, once again, are we going to keep blaming the girls? Saying they took private photos and shared them with their boyfriends, so this is what they get? What about the girl who is being threatened for taking private photos of herself in the group now?

According to World of Buzz, the members of the group refer to this as their “little projects.” These members would also make indecent requests to the admin, requesting that the victims pose in any way they deemed desirable.

The “project” was based on these men threatening women to obtain their private photos and videos. WORLD OF BUZZ was successful in infiltrating the group and obtaining some exclusive screenshots.

However, it has been reported that the group was deleted on June 9th; it is unknown whether the group is no longer active or if they have relocated their activities.

How long should women be afraid of these social media predators? If you have ever been a victim of this group, please do not hesitate to file a police report with MCMC!

MCMC must also make sure that Telegram takes immediate action to prevent such groups from existing on their platform. Telegram has long been known as a platform with dubious policies that facilitate anonymity and the easy distribution of pornographic material, and MCMC is well aware of this.

We do hope that MCMC as an enforcement arm devotes some time and resources to achieving long-term results. MCMC must make it much more difficult for groups like the V2K to operate on that platform.

We need to act before it’s too late.  This is an act of crime and should not be tolerated.  Those involved in this should bear the consequences of participating in such a vile act.
