STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—is a critical area of education that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly advancing world. In today’s technology-driven era, nurturing STEM education from an early age is more important than ever. Among Tamil school students, fostering interest and excellence in STEM subjects can open doors to innovation, critical thinking, and future career opportunities.

In line with the emphasis on strengthening STEM education among Tamil school students, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Vigneswaran paid a visit to SJKT Ladang North Hummock in Setia Alam today. During his visit, he toured the school grounds, observed the classroom environments, and reviewed the existing facilities. His visit highlighted the importance of creating a supportive and well-equipped learning environment that can nurture students’ interest in STEM subjects.

During his visit, Tan Sri Vigneswaran contributed RM50,000 towards the enhancement of the school’s science laboratory. He emphasized that Tamil school students should excel in STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—and stressed the importance of increasing students’ interest in these fields from an early age.

Tan Sri Vigneswaran expressed his belief that this contribution would greatly benefit SJKT Ladang North Hummock and its students by providing improved facilities that support hands-on learning and deeper engagement with STEM education.

This contribution will support the school in developing and upgrading its science laboratory, providing students with a better environment for hands-on learning and exploration in STEM subjects.
