The success of Malaysian Education Blueprint (RPM) 2026-2035 is not entirely dependent on schools and teachers, but an active involvement of parents and the wider community, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
Speaking after a session with educations, Parent-Teacher Association (PTAs) and the Parent, Community and Private Sector Involvement (PIBKS) groups in the Ayer Molek and Pengkalan Batu areas in Melaka, she said the strong cooperation from all parties is essential as Malaysia prepares for major changes in the education system in the next decade.
According to Fadhlina, the implementation of new preschool curriculum has already started, while efforts to expand preschool classes are practiced in other countries. She also announced new school curriculum involving Year 1 and Form 1 students begin next year.

She also emphasised that this initiatives can only succeed if parents and communities play a active role in supporting children’s learning inside and outside the classroom.
“For example, the reading sessions introduced for preschool children require parents to spend time reading together with their children. The same goes for many other educational initiatives that need cooperation from everyone”, she said in a Facebook post.
During the session, Fadhlina encouraged Melaka to use their strong performance in the SPM 2025 examination as stepping stone to strengthen Melaka’s education ecosystem.
She said continued collaboration between schools, parents, and community organisations, and private sectors will help to create a more supportive learning environment for students.

RM280,00 For Teachers Rooms
As part of her visit, Fadhlina also gave a total allocation of RM280,000 for upgrading teachers rooms in 13 schools. She expressed hope that this would provide comfort for teachers and help boost their motivation. The Malaysian Education Blueprint 2026-2035 is hoped to play a important role in the country’s future education system, with the right support from schools, families and communities to make sure every student gets best learning opportunity.
