An online event In Conversation: Resisting Racism in Global Arts and Culture, will be held this weekend to have a prompt discussion on racism issues. The live conversation will take place on Saturday, 13th June 2020 from 8 pm to 9.30 pm on Checkpoint Theatre’s Facebook page. This event will be moderated by Huzir Sulaiman and Nicole Wong.
The event features two speakers, Dr. Mohan Ambikaipaker and Pooja Nansi.
Dr. Mohan Ambikaipaker is a Malaysian who works as an Associate Professor of social anthropologist and cultural studies scholar at Tulane University, USA, who studies the dynamics of multiracial societies. He is the co-author of What’s New about New Immigrants in 21st Century Britain? (2006) and does more research trajectory examines Britain, Malaysia, and the United States.
