On November 14, a gruesome road accident occurred where three young Indian youths died after crashing into a garbage truck in the Bercham Industrial Area. The three young boys were identified as 20-year-old M. Krishnan, who was the driver, his 16-year-old younger brother M. Pavilesh, and their 16-year-old cousin K. Subash. Upon investigation, Ipoh District Police Chief ACP Yahaya Hassan stated that the car was driving in Tanjung Rambutan’s direction and had crashed into an oncoming garbage truck when it lost the ability to control its speed.

ACP Yahaya Hassan states that the collision had caused the car to be stuck underneath the garbage truck, where it subsequently caught on fire. The three young boys had lost their lives on the spot of the accident.

“As a result of the collision, the car became stuck beneath the garbage truck and caught fire. The 20-year-old male driver, along with his brother and cousin, aged 16, died at the scene.
“The garbage truck driver and four assistants, on the other hand, escaped unhurt,”

– ACP Yahaya Hassan, Ipoh District Police Chief
