Sri Murugan Centre’s Youthcore proudly celebrates the achievements of its youth members who achieved significant milestone at the Universiti Malaya Ideas Festival (UM iFEST) 2026. The annual festival organised by Universiti Malaya, is a large-scale innovation and research showcase which highlights the students’ creativity and academic excellence.
According to Universiti Malaya, UM iFEST 2026 brought together more than 10,000 visitors and showcased over 2,800 undergraduate Final Year Projects (FYPs) from 17 faculties, making it one of the university’s biggest academic innovation platforms. The festival also serves as a bridge between academia, research, and industry by allowing students to present their projects to professional judges and potential employers.

Within this competitive and high-impact environment, SMC Youthcore members stood out by earning top recognition for their Final Year Projects, securing both Gold and Silver medals. Their success reflects not only academic excellence but also strong commitment to leadership, community engagement, and innovation.
Despite their active involvement in mentoring programmes, youth leadership initiatives, and community service activities, these students have continued to excel in their academic pursuits, demonstrating a strong balance between service and scholarship.
