Dato’ Sivanesan Achalingam has announced a RM40,000 allocation for the relocation of Trolak’s Sri Amman Temple. With the land for the new site already allocated and considerable time having passed, the temple’s relocation is now underway.
During the temple’s thiruvizha (annual festival), Dato’ Sivanesan explained that the temple committee is taking steps to ensure the relocation process goes smoothly and that construction at the new site will begin once all necessary procedures are completed.
He also inspected the land designated for the temple. He mentioned that if any issues arise regarding the property, the temple management should approach the Land Office, and he would discuss the matter with the district land officer. Dato’ Sivanesan assured attendees of his full support to ensure the temple’s establishment at the new location occurs without difficulties.

Moreover, he advised the temple management to seek funding from state government allocations, federal government assistance, and through their Member of Parliament. He expressed his willingness to help facilitate the process of obtaining these funds and encouraged the management to initiate the Bhoomi Pooja (ground-breaking ceremony) soon to commence construction of the new temple.
Although there are fewer Indian residents in the Trolak area today, it is noteworthy that former residents return in large numbers during the annual festival seasons to visit the temple and seek blessings from the goddess.
For a long time, the temple management had been hesitant to relocate. However, with Dato’ Sivanesan’s advice, guidance, and the support and contributions he has pledged, the management has gained renewed confidence and expressed their commitment to moving forward with the construction of the new temple soon.
