Makeup Artist Hamel Patel Recreates Disney Princesses With Indian Twist

Every single one of us wanted to be a princess growing up. We wanted to wear pretty dresses, sing a song, and get whisked away by a handsome prince – which is why we’re all incredibly jealous of Meghan Markle.

Indian makeup artist and model Hamel Patel is no different. She grew up wanting to be a Disney princess, except that she wished there was a princess she could relate to – someone that represented where she came from. When she failed to find one, she decided to take matters into her own hands and create one.

In a series of Instagram posts, Hamel Patel recreates classic Disney princesses with Indian twists. She adorned her look with traditional elements like sarees, bindis, nose rings and traditional jewellery to embellish the look.
