KTMB Group Chief Executive Officer Azlan Shah Al Bakri said previous festive train services during Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri received encouraging responses, especially for southern routes involving Johor Bahru. He also noted that the government’s “Road to Rail” initiative has encouraged more Malaysians to choose train travel due to its comfort, efficiency, and safety.
Apart from the additional ETS services, KTMB also announced that the special Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) service to the East Coast has received positive response from passengers. The railway operator is also offering a 30 per cent discount for selected ELA tickets from Tumpat to KL Sentral, with fares starting from RM56.
