50,000 low-income households in Selangor will receive RM100 monthly cash assistance for six months under Kita Selangor Voucher initiative. This was announced by Selagor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
The program starts at 30th June and forms of RM140 Million Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package Phase 1, which was introduced in April to help residents with rise living cost, global economic uncertainty and supply chain challenges.
According to Amirudin, they will identify the recipients through state database, including Selangor Well-Being Life Assistance Initiative and the Implementation Coordination Unit to make sure the aid reaches those who needs it the most.
The state government will review eligible recipients from 22nd June and 23rd June before informing the applicants. Payments are expected to start at the end of June and continue monthly for six months.

Additional Support Measures
Apart from cash aid, the Selangor government allocated additional RM5 Million for Jelajah Ehsan Rahmah 2026 programme, making it total RM10Million allocation. The programme will be held twice in every state constituency starting this month to give affordable essential goods to residents.
To encourage to use public transport, the state government introduce RM30 monthly public transport subsidy for 50,000 users through NINE application. The subsidy takes effect immediately, and can be used for state’s demand responsive transit van service for six months. It is expected to expand and include other public transport like LRT and KTM in the future.
Free Breakfast Programme for Students
Another initiative is free breakfast programme which benefits 120,000 students from low income families in 965 schools under the Selangor Education Department and the Selangor Islamic Religious Department.
The programme is to reduce financial burden or parents and make sure students start their school with nutritious meal.
Phase 2 of Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package focusing on supporting state’s industrial sector will be tabled in a special State Legislative Assembly later this month.
