In an inspiring achievement for the community, Nanthini Palanisamy has made history by becoming the only Asian participant to attend an exclusive leadership training programme at the renowned NASA Research Centre in Houstan, Texas.
Representing her organisation on an international stage, Nanthini described the experience as surreal in a heartfelt social media post, reflecting on how far she has come, Coming from a middle-class background, she shared that she was once just a bright kid with big dreams and never imagined she would one day break boundaries and achieve such a remarkable milestone.

The prestigious programme, conducted through Space Center Houston, offers participants valuable leadership insights inspired by NASA’s 60 years of human performance research, training, and development. It focuses on building stronger leaders by encouraging individuals to become explorers, embrace change, and take a broader view in leading teams and organisations.

However, beyond the programme itself, Nanthini’s journey is what truly stands out. Her success serves as a powerful reminder that determination, hard work, and resilience can open doors to opportunities once thought impossible. Her accomplishment is not only a proud personal milestone but also a moment of pride for the our community, especially young women aspiring to make their mark in the fields of engineering, leadership, and innovation.
