The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has denied viral claims circulating on social media that free driving licences are being offered to the public. The department stated that it has received multiple complaints regarding fake advertisements promoting such offers, particularly on social media platforms like Threads.
JPJ clarified that these advertisements are completely false and have no connection to the department. It urged the public not to be easily misled by suspicious promotions, warning that such scams could lead to confusion and potential financial losses.

The Road Transport Department also addressed confusion surrounding the MyLesen B2 programme, explaining that applications for the initiative have already closed. Only successful applicants are contacted directly by JPJ to proceed with registration at authorised driving institutes.
To avoid being a victim to scams, JPJ has emphasised that all official announcements will be made in their verified channels including its official Facebook pages at both headquarters and state levels. The public is advised to verify any information before sharing it and to report suspicious advertisements through JPJ’s official complaints portal.
JPJ reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the public from fraud and ensuring that accurate information is communicated through legitimate sources.
